Welcome to the GoodNEWS website. Our program has been developing slowly during the last seven years, as we have endeavored to understand more about how the way we live affects our health. Our current study is designed to see whether it is possible to reduce risk factors for cardiovascular disease, by restoring optimal function to our organs, cells, and genes, through a balanced and holistic faith – health approach. We are indebted to many people responsible for the development of this approach, and to our partners. I want to thank them all and wish them well. Probably the most important single piece of information we can give to GoodNEWS Lay Health Promoters, Pastors, and Wellness Club Members is that good health is within reach, that it is something that is very close by and not far away. Life and living life are filled with challenges and temptations. But, the life that is inside of us is greater than each of these temptations and can help us to overcome the great challenges we will face in the course of living. Through the GoodNEWS Community of Churches, it is possible to unite together for health and support, in a way that will improve life and help each and every one of us to overcome our challenges and temptations. When we reach out to one another, we often find another hand their waiting to grasp ours — if we will only reach. And when we do, we can truly feel the power of two, and when two reach for two more, then that power is doubled, and so it goes, until we are all holding one another, and through this power — hands holding hands, and hearts holding hearts — we can overcome all of the challenges to health that stand in our path.
